Organizers
The idea for Nordiskt Forum Malmö 2014 – New Action on Women’s Rights arose at the Swedish Women’s Lobby’s meeting for chairpersons of member organizations in 2010. The initiative was further developed at the preparatory Nordic conference in Kungälv, Sweden, in November 2011 where around 50 representatives from Nordic women’s organizations participated. The Kungälv conference resulted in national committees, working groups and the Nordic Steering Group, which was given the mandate to continue the initiative and plan Nordiskt Forum Malmö 2014. The following organizations make up the Steering Group:
- The Swedish Women’s Lobby, Sweden (Sveriges Kvinnolobby)
- The Women’s Council in Denmark (Kvinderådet, Danmark)
- FOKUS – Forum for Women and Development, Norway (FOKUS – Forum for Kvinner og Utviklingsspørsmål, Norge)
